The award ceremony on Festival Square tonight concluded the 5th OFF Pro Film Market, which over the past few days brought together dozens of young film professionals and independent producers and distributors from across Europe. As part of the Market, the OFF Co-Pro Market program was held, featuring 11 projects in development. The jury, consisting of director Faruk Lončarević, producers Morana Ikić Komljenović and Zdenka Gold, VERN University film dean Ozana Ramljak, and distributor Zahra Benasri, decided on the best projects.
The winning projects, according to the jury, are:
- “All Hell Broke Loose the Day Before” by Nur Sultan Bulut (Award – Co-production funding for OFF PRO CO-PRO film market)
- “Teeth” by Lyubo Yonchev, best project (Award – Co-production funding for OFF PRO CO-PRO film market)
- “Nikola, Nikola” by Leon Ristov (Award – Co-production funding by Festival Program Committee)
- “Nikola, Nikola” by Leon Ristov (Award – Film distribution strategy)
- “Baklava” by Faris Šabanija (Award – Video on Demand distribution)
During the OFF Pro Film Market award ceremony, the launch of the Hvar Film Festival and Sunny Film Market was announced, scheduled for September 10-14 in the city of Hvar. The festival is organized by the Telemach Youth Film Festival, with the patronage of the City of Hvar, the Tourist Board of the City of Hvar, and Telemach Croatia.
OFF Pro Film Market is one of the largest film markets in Southeast Europe, with France as this year’s focus country.
